Winter Wonderland

Some pictures from today's walk - mightily disappointed the snow hadn't arrived but never mind! Had a good old play with them afterwards and added some vignette and extra shadowing.

There's definitely a touch of the Blair witch!

People Watching

One area I'd like to develop my photography is taking pictures of people....which is actually more about being braver in asking rather than actually taking them. So I'm sort of resigned to taking inconspicuous shots until I pluck up the courage. These are two recent ones. My favourite of the two is the first. I love the backdrop of this couple having a good natter!

Gnarly

Love the different ways these trees have twisted and gnarled with some vignette, editing to the shadows and depth to make them slightly more atmospheric.

Networks

Whilst I should be doing something far more exciting on a Friday night - staying in and editing photos seem so much more fun especially with flu and freezing weather!

I've mentioned before playing with my Nexus and I have to really say how good the editing facilities are given its not proper software. Anyway that's enough of my ramblings, in keeping with the weather here are some suitably wintery shots.

Muddy Walks

I've been playing with my Nexus after a very muddy walk today and I'm actually quite impressed! Its worked extremely well especially on the sky shots which are so much more dramatic.

A New Start

Here's to 2013 and a year filled with photography among other exciting adventures. 2012 was a long old slog of a year and at times simply getting out to take photographs was a challenge however there is plenty in the pipeline for this year with lots of trips and travelling planned which i am so excited about!
