Burst Of Green

One final post for the evening and a recent flower picture. Another macro shot, off centre which works well i think and a nice unusual flower colour.

Paths

I went to Ironbridge on a little photographic venture on Wednesday. Whilst it is a lovely area it is a bi-product of an industrial era and therefore i don't find it particularly inspirational which is a shame. But i did manage to get a few pictures which work well with black and white and sepia. I quite like the perspective on this picture, especially the areas of shadow which give it some atmosphere.

My Friend Robin

I was very lucky today with the weather and managed to get a decent amount of time outside which has been something of a novelty of late. Whilst i was trying to capture a bumble bee on flowers i noticed my little friend watching intently from the side. As it turns out he was very photogenic and was quite happy to pose - maybe it was something to do with the bit of cake i'd given him earlier! I managed to get a good 10 pictures of him but this one is my favourite - trying to look inconspicuous!

Fluff

I have been increasingly playing with my new camera and you'll notice i have been taking lots of macro shots - it is by far my favourite style of photo especially when capturing the finer details of things like flowers. The detail on this picture is lovely i think, picking up on the very fine shoots of the dandelion.

Glass

Stained glass windows can be truly stunning, especially with the light effects they produce. These are taken at St Mary's Shrewsbury where the windows are particularly spectacular.

Praise

The differing styles, architecture and opulence of churches is really fascinating and is becoming something of a hobby of mine. This is a lovely piece of stonework from St Mary's in Shrewsbury, well worth a visit with stunning stained glass windows.

Prayers

Whilst nature always provides me with ample photographic material i also have a growing fascination with churches which has increasingly featured in my photography. Here is one from today, not too 'churchy' but a lovely reflective picture i think.
